HOW TO DRINK DARJEELING BLACK LONG LEAF TEA

     MY CUP OF TEA

On a winter morning, getting a kettle full of hot tea is a wonderful experience. I got this bed tea habit from my father who used to wake up at 4 O'clock in the morning and make a kettle full of tea and call my Mom to have a cup. Sometimes she used to join and rest of the days my father used to have it alone. I think no romance was involved, it was only tea. Now where am I in all this? Sometimes my father's heavy voice used to wake me up in the adjoining room. I used to get my cup and beg him for some tea. My father always rejected my plea saying that it is not good for kids. But you know kids. I used to get my share somehow. It was very tasty and aroma was all around the place. I grew up and got my own kettle.
The wonderful tea was made with milk only. He used to prepare tea with ordinary black tea and sugar. Then where was the magic? The magic lied in the kettle. He used to put a teaspoon of expensive Darjeeling black long leaf tea (Lipton Green Label) in the kettle and then pour the boiling tea (prepared with ordinary black tea) into the kettle. The lid was closed and the flavor released were assimilated into the tea. He would let the tea brew for 10 minutes and then have it.
