Home Remedies for Sour Throat Cough and seasonal Allergies

Season of allergies is here. Dust, pollen, wheat husk and carbon particles in air leads to Soar Throat and Cough. Prevention is good but following natural methods could be very helpful

1. Licorice, Ginger and Indian Basil (Tulsi) - In a cup of water add half teaspoon of Licorice Powder, quarter teaspoon of crushed fresh ginger and 4-5 crushed Tulsi leaves and boil till water reduces to half. Drink it  in morning  and at night for a week.

2. Ginger and Honey - Grind 100 gm of ginger with a little water and strain it. Add two tablespoon of honey to the ginger extract. Store at a cool place. Two teaspoons three times a day for a week relieves cold and cough.

3. Ayurvedic medicine "Sitopaladi Churna" taken with honey two daily reduces even the very old cough.

4. Ayurvedic medicine "Joshanda" boiled with water taken three times daily helps.

5. Pineapple fruit contains natural antibacterial properties. Also lemon and other citrus fruits have lots of water and vitamin C to protect you from seasonal allergy and cough.

6. Gargles with salt and Bitadine (Povidone-iodine) could relieve throat pain.
